About The Carbone Clinic
Founded in New York in 2003 by Dr. Vincent J. Carbone, the Carbone Clinic provides high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for individuals with autism and related disabilities. With over 20 years of experience, the clinic has supported thousands of children and adults, emphasising the right to effective education and behavioural support.
ABA programs at the clinic are highly individualised, addressing each learner’s specific needs, interests, and motivations. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) oversees every program, beginning with a comprehensive assessment that informs an Individualised Education Plan (IEP) and evidence-based teaching strategies, including B.F. Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior. Skills are designed to be generalised across environments (home, school, community) and individuals (family, teachers, caregivers) to ensure meaningful application.
The Carbone Clinic follows a data-driven approach, using visual progress tracking to monitor outcomes and make informed programming adjustments. Its core belief is that, with the right support, every learner can develop new skills, gain greater independence, and enhance their quality of life.
The Carbone Clinic has made significant contributions to the field of behaviour analysis. Notably, the clinic was honoured with the 2022 International Dissemination Award by the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis at ABAI. Additionally, it has been recognised as one of eight exemplary programs in the field and is featured in the book Ethical Applied Behavior Analysis: Models for Individuals Impacted by Autism.
